YAPC::Europe::2002 ->Munich;

Munich, Capital of Bavaria, in Southern Germany, sits on a 500m high flat plateau, just above the northernmost sweep of the European Alps. It has a dry-ish climate (when compared to northern England ;-), a multi-cultured history and much beer.
